Sharon Liggins
Sharon Liggins is an entertainment public relations professional with a passion for developing creative campaigns "for all things television.” As executive director, program publicity, for ABC Entertainment Group, she has managed strategic publicity initiatives for the group’s series and corporate brand identity, as well as devising and executing awards campaigns for critically acclaimed programs including Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost. She also supports Disney/ABC Television Group’s Talent Development and Diversity efforts through their various initiatives and fellowship programs. She has worked in all facets of the television landscape, beginning her career at the Public Broadcasting Service, supporting the seminal series American Playhouse, Frontline, Great Performances and Masterpiece Theatre. She has also held positions at talent agency Creative Artists Agency, cable television’s Hallmark Channel and also honed her craft from the agency perspective at the DeVeaux Group (now DVG Communications).
Nancy Carr
Nancy Carr serves as senior vice president, corporate communications, for Hallmark Channel, heading the strategic development and implementation of all corporate communications activities, including special events, media and governmental outreach, audience services, public affairs and internal communications. Prior to Hallmark, she was vice president, communications, at CBS (1999-2004), and before that held a number of management positions in publicity for the network, where she led campaigns on series, movies, miniseries and specials, including CSI, Without a Trace, Everybody Loves Raymond and hundreds of long-form projects, including Joan of Arc, Jesus and the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentations. She also oversaw public relations activities on numerous specials, including the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards and CBS at 75. Earlier, she was at Fox as senior manager, publicity, handling programs, including the Primetime Emmy Awards and Beverly Hills, 90210. Carr started in television as a senior publicist at CBS. The USC graduate served on the Television Academy’s Diversity Committee in 2004.
